Electronic driving systems

Electronic driving systems assist disabled drivers who suffer from limited upper limb movement to safely drive the vehicle.  These computer based systems operate electric actuators that convert the driver’s movements to enable operation of the acceleration-braking and the steering system.  The assistive devices part of the system will be positioned anywhere around the driver’s seat according to its capabilities.

Additional electric driving assistive devices for the disabled drivers; where developed by TMN to enable tailor made solutions for each customer, offering various possibilities to operate all the auxiliary functions part of operating the vehicle.

The use of special electronic driving systems is permitted only to disabled drivers who have been specially trained, as indicated on their driving license.  If the vehicle is sold, the special electronic systems can be dismantled and the vehicle is restored to its original state.

Any vehicle in which a special driving system is installed is tested at the Technion’s Vehicle Laboratory and approved by the Ministry of Transport, in addition to the quality and operation testing carried out by TMN’s Quality Control Department.

Joysteer Electric Driving System

Joysteer  is a Swiss based company providing driving solutions for disabled drivers.  The Joysteer electric driving system has two safety circuits, an active navigation system, and an active control system for braking.   The electronic steering wheel can be operated in various ways using gripping aids.  The vehicle can be driven using the original pedals as well as an electronic accelerator/ brake solution.

Paravan Electric Driving System

Paravan, a leading German company who provides electric driving systems for disabled people. The Paravan electric driving system has two safety circuits, an active steering system and an active control system.  The electronic steering wheel can be operated in various ways and with gripping devices.  The electronic accelerator- braking system is equipped with an operating handle and switches to operate electronic functions in the vehicle.  When required, the vehicle can be restored to its original state for driving with the regular steering wheel and using the regular foot pedals. Bever Acceleration – Braking Electric Driving System

Bever, a Netherlands based company, provides an electrical driving system with two safety circuits, incorporating an active braking control system and a smart acceleration system.
The system enables the driver to accelerate with no physical contact to the accelerator pedal using a handle or a special pedal.  When required, the vehicle can be restored to its original state for driving with the regular steering wheel and using the regular foot pedals.

Touch Screen based vehicle control system

The Touch  Screen based control system developed by TMN, incorporates all the operation functions required when driving the vehicle, for easy and simple operation from one central location.  At any given moment, the dynamic screen shows only the functions required for that particular driving situation. Functions controlled by the touch screen includes ignition, gear shift, electric parking brake, wheelchair lock, etc. as well as secondary functions such as signals, horn, lights, windscreen wipers, air conditioning and more.

Electric Keyboard Control Panel

A keyboard based system that enables the operation of essential vehicle functions for disabled drivers in one place, to overcome difficulties using the original means of operation.
The panel which has illuminated electrical keyboard switches, makes it easier to activate functions, such as;  opening a side door, operating the lift, the parking brake and more.
The control keyboard will be located anywhere around the driver’s seat, and will be an alternative solution for drivers who have difficulty operating a Touch Screen.
